The Ramon Santamaria Outstanding Senior Tennis Award winner is Master Tennis Pro Barry Grube. Here are photos from the celebration and from the Pickleball Demonstration.

Green Spring Tennis and Educational Foundation awarded the Ramon Santamaria Outstanding Senior Tennis Award to Barry Grube who has devoted his life to the love of tennis. This award was created in memory of beloved Ray Santamaria, who was Barry's friend. Ray's senior tennis league at Green Spring Racquet Club still plays on Monday afternoons and with Barry's help has expanded to Wednesdays this year.

This reception is open to everyone who would like to come and congratulate Barry.

Pickleball Demonstration

After we honor Barry, GSRC will also be offering adults a free introduction to Pickleball that evening. John and Autumn Moheyer Baltimore area Pickleball instructors and league coordinators will run a demonstration where you can try this exciting game. GSRC will be offering Pickleball instruction and league play starting in September!  Click here to read more about Pickleball.

This award will be given to a senior in our community who has given their time and talent to the betterment of the game of tennis. Last year’s award winner was Carolyn Fitzgerald.
